Interview with Dieter Roters – Equipment Service
This year German company Equipment Service GmbH has become a partner for the sales of aerial access platforms on the German-speaking market for the KLUBB Group. On this occasion we spoke to Dieter Roters, the CEO of the GmbH, about his company and what it is all about.
What is the background of your company “Equipment Service GmbH”?
Dieter: Before founding Equipment Service GmbH, I was the service manager at a large German caterpillar platform manufacturer for 25 years. After this time, I decided to go to the USA.
There I was the technical manager for the USA dealer for caterpillar work platforms from an Italian manufacturer. This dealer sells around 450 caterpillar access platforms per year. My job there was to build up the service network across all states in the USA.
After three years in the USA, I returned to Germany. Here I decided to set up my own company for the service of caterpillar work platforms. This was because it quickly became apparent that there was a great need among customers for fast, reliable, and customer-oriented service. We offer this service to the customer in our workshop in Metelen, but also on site in Germany and worldwide.
Our team now comprises of 10 employees, most of whom have many years of experience in the field of work platforms.
My employees and I have learned, from our previous work in the service area, how important it is to provide exceptional all-round service.
We are now constantly working on improving ourselves and providing an optimal service together with our customers.
Why did you decide to represent KLUBB’s aerial access platforms?
Dieter: We came across KLUBB through another partner of the company, the Swedish company Scandlift. They recommended us to get in touch with Henri, KLUBB’s export director. And from then on everything went very quickly: We visited the production and the company in the east of Paris and were impressed by the quality, the employees and the general atmosphere in the company. We agreed that the quality and the people suited us.
What is the most important to you?
Dieter: The top priority is definitely the quality of the product. After more than 20 years on the market, I can rely on my quality thinking and only want to offer the best possible to the customer.
What is also very important to us at Equipment Service GmbH is the service. Before we get involved in sales, we first concentrate on expanding the service. The sale of high-quality work platforms includes a correspondingly reliable service.
How are you positioned in terms of after sales service within Germany so far?
Dieter: At the moment we have 5 service points all over Germany and a mobile service team. This means that we are available to our customers 24/7 for technical questions.
